What is the ShiaCode?
The ShiaCode is a Twelver Imamate Shia Islamic online source of knowledge and information, we provide texts and media relevant to the teachings of Shia Islam.
Why the name ShiaCode?
The name: (ShiaCode) derives from two meanings:
1. The word "Shia" means "followers; members of party". The Shia Muslims are the followers and believers of (Allah) the Almighty creator of existence, His Prophets and Imams , His messages / communication, His Prophets and Messengers and the Ahlul Bayt (the family of the house of Prophet Mohammad). The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Mohammad) said to Imam Ali: "Good News to you O Ali! Verily you and your companions and your Shia (followers) will be in Paradise."
2. ''Code'' for the word (Din) meaning Religion in Arabic. The literal meaning of (Din) is obedience, and its popular sense is (Code) therefore, ShiaCode.
The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
"For everything there is a path, and the path to Paradise is knowledge."
He (peace be upon him) also said:
''O Ali! You and your Shia (followers) will remain in peace from the Faza-e-Akbar (the terrific fright), on the day of Qiyamat (resurrection to Judgement Day). And this refers only to you.''
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said:
''Any Shia who commits a sin against which we had warned will not die before he is inflicted by a misfortune (punishment), in his fortune, sons, or himself, so that he will meet Allah (on the day of Judgement) guiltless. If such a misfortune does not meet all his sins, death will be very violent for him until all sins are erased.''
The Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him)
was asked:
''Teach us one science by which Allah will love us.''
He (peace be upon him) replied:
''Hate the world, then Allah will love you.''
Allah (the Almighty) said to the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him):
''Oh Jesus, I have shown you everything that brings you near to Me and I have warned you against everything that takes you away from Me. Now, you have the choice. Oh Jesus, this world is sweet and I have employed you in it; therefore avoid committing that which I have warned you and take only what I have given you out of My favours. Oh son of Mary the Virgin, I command you to adhere to the Master of the Messengers; My dear Ahmad, the rider of the red camel, the brilliant-faced, the pure-hearted, the powerful, the modest, and the bountiful. He is surely the mercy for people and the master of the sons of Adam, when he will meet Me (on the Day of Resurrection). He is the most honourable of the forerunners to Me and the closest of the submissive to Me. He is the Arab, the Meccan, the embracer of My religion, and the steadfast for My sake, who will fight the polytheists for protecting My religion. You shall foretell the children of Israel of his coming and order them to have faith in him, believe him, follow him, and support him.''
The Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) asked:
''Oh Lord, who is that one? So that I will please him properly as You have told.''
Allah (the Almighty) replied:
''He is Mohammad, the Messenger of Allah to all people completely. He is the owner of the closest standing to Me and he is the foremost intercessors. Blessed be him. What a Prophet he is! Blessed be his nation who will keep on pursuing his path until they meet Me. All inhabitants of this earth praise him (Mohammad - Peace be upon him and his Family), and all the inhabitants of the heavens are seeking (My) forgiveness to him. He is Trustworthy, blessed, and clean. For Me, he is the best of the coming generations. He will come in the last of time. When he comes out, the heavens will provide its rain, the land will take out its boons, and people will see the blessings. I will bless anything on which he will put his hand. He will be polygamous, but will have few children.'' (i.e. his daughter Fatima Zahra and his grandsons Imam Hassan and Hussein).
The Quran and the Final ProphetIn the Name of Allah, Most Kind, Most Forgiving.
''Those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and believe in the (revelation/Quran) sent down to Mohammad - for it is the Truth from their Lord,- He will remove from them their ills and improve their condition, soon He will guide them and improve their condition, and admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them.''
''How can you reject the faith in Allah?- seeing that you were without life, and He gave you life; then He will cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to Him you will return. Dont You see that Allah created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He wants, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation''
The 12 Holy Imams of the Ahlul Bayt (family of the house of Prophet Mohammad):
The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
''If someone dies without knowing the Imam of his time, his death is that of an unbeliever.''
We must therefore carry out our duties to the Imam of our time, the 12th alive and hidden Imam al-Mahdi (the guided one) who is still alive on earth and in concealment/hiding until Allah commands him to reappear.
The 12 Holy Imams of the Ahlul Bayt (family of the house of Prophet Mohammad) in Sunni and Christian sources:
1.Sahih Bukhari
The Prophet Mohammad said:
"There will be Twelve Muslim rulers (who will rule all the Islamic world)." (Sahih Bukhari 89.329)
2.Sahih Muslim
Jabir ibn Samura said:
''I joined the company of the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) with my father and I heard him say: This Caliphate will not end until there have been Twelve Caliphs among them.'' (Sahih Muslim 20.4477)
3.Sunan Al-Tirmidhi
The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
"There will be after me twelve Amir (Prince/Ruler), all of them from Quraysh." (Sunan al-Tirmidhi (Arabic) Chapter of Fitan, 2:45 (India) and 4:501 Tradition No. 2225 Egypt)
4. Fara'id al-Simtayn
Al-Juwayni reports that Ibn Abbas remarked that the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
"I am the chief of the Prophets and Ali ibn Abi Talib is the chief of successors, and after me my successors shall be twelve, the first of them being Ali ibn Abi Talib and the last of them being Al Mahdi."
Al-Juwayni has also mentioned another tradition from Ibn Abbas that he narrates from the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family):
""Certainly my Caliphs and my legatees and the Proofs of Allah upon his creatures after me are Twelve. The first of them is my brother and the last of them is my (grand) son." He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who is your brother?" He said, "Ali ibn Abi Talib" Then they asked, "And who is your son?" The Holy Prophet Mohammad replied, "Al Mahdi, the one who will fill the earth with justice and equity like it would be brimming with injustice and tyranny. And by the One Who has raised me as a Warner and a give of good tidings, even if a day remains for the life of this world, the Almighty Allah will prolong this day to an extent till he sends my son Mahdi, then he will make Ruhullah 'Isa ibn Maryam (Prophet Jesus) to descend and pray behind the (Imam Al Mahdi). And the earth will be illuminated by his radiance. And his power will reach to the east and the west."
Al-Juwayni also narrates:
"I and Ali and Hasan and Husayn and nine of the descendants of Husayn are the purified ones and the infallible/sinless." (Fara'id al-Simtayn - Page 160.)
5. The Bible (Genesis)
"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget Twelve princes, I will make him a great nation." (Genesis 17, 20)
All the Muslims testify that the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) is related to the Prophet Ishmael (Son of Prophet Abraham) - the only 12 Leaders chosen by Allah who fulfilled this prophecy in the Bible are the 12 Holy Imams from the offspring of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon them all.)
The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
''Allah created me from the quintessence (Purest Form) of light, and called me, so I obeyed Him. Then He created Ali from my light, and called him, and he obeyed. From my light and the light of Ali He created Fatima: He called her and she obeyed. From me, 'Ali and Fatimah, He created Hassan and Hussein. He called them and they obeyed Him. Allah has named us with Five of His Names: Allah is al-Mahmud (the Praised) and I am Mohammad (worthy of praise); Allah is al-Ali (the High), and this is Ali (the one of high rank); Allah is al-Fatir (Creator out of nothing), and this is Fatima; Allah is the One with Hasan (beneficence), and this is Hassan; Allah is Muhassin (the Beautiful), and this is Hussein. He created Nine Imams from the light of Hussein and called them and they obeyed Him, before Allah created either Heaven on high, the out-stretched Earth, the Air, the Angels or Humans. We were lights who glorified Him, listened to Him and obeyed Him.''
(The above five names are derived from the names of Allah, they are also the names taught to the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), he used these names to seek the forgiveness of Allah after he ate from the forbidden tree in Paradise).
